Polish Red Pop - Compliments of Len Piasecki

Ingredients:
1 part fresh raspberries*
1 part sugar
1 part 80 or 100 proof Vodka
2 Aspirin (for the morning after)

*Note: frozen raspberries may be substituted is fresh raspberries are out of season

Directions:

1. Clean out a large glass or plastic container.
2. Mix equal parts Vodka, sugar and raspberries into that container (one fifth of Vodka equals about 4 pints of raspberries).
3. Swirl contents of container until sugar is completely dissolved into the solution.
4. Let ingredients ferment in container for 6 months to 1 year.  The longer the Red Pop ferments, the smoother it will be.
5. When the Red Pop is done fermenting, strain off all solids in the solution by siphoning out the liquid.  Contents can also be strained by putting a nylon over a jar and pouring solution over it.  This is very messy but well worth it.

Enjoy...or better yet Na Zdrowie!
